Do You Like My Sister? Bryce woke up to an empty bed. It took him seconds to realize that he had indeed slept on his own and that Hera had slept somewhere else. Has he gotten so used to her to the point that he could no longer sleep if she wasn't anywhere close to him? At home, his bedroom was only a few seconds away from each other but here, he doesn't even know which room she had slept in or how to locate her.
He had stayed up all night in hopes that he could at least get a glimpse of her before going to sleep but he didn't. It was almost like she had disappeared into thin air right after dinner. He doesn't like this at all. Ever since they chere, he hasn't had the chance to talk or even spend twith her. Hopefully, they get everything done and dusted with so that they can both return back htogether. He missed snuggling up on her lap and what's worse is that he missed having her all to himself.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtHe wouldn't want to call this trip a bad one because Hera's family had welcomed him so warmly and shown him a lot of love and kindness. It was the first tin ages that he didn't feel out of place and had actually enjoyed the company of other people that wasn't his family. He was a bit skeptical about how they would treat him if he chere with her but all his worries flew out the window at when he saw how nicely they treated him.
It would've been a bit hard not to get attached. They were good people. No wonder Hera acts the way she does. She was raised in a loving environment, unlike him.
Rolling out of bed, he threw on one if his shirt and made his way outside the room. There, he scanned every bit of the environment to see if he would at least get a glimpse of Hera around the premise. The whole place was bubbling as everyone tried to set up stuff and put things away in place for the festivities at hand. He couldn't believe it but then again, he was in church for the first tafter his mother's death so what's more strange than that? "Good morning big brother." The voice of Christina pulled him out of his wandering thoughts. He brought his face to hers and was welcomed by her charming smile.
Looking down, he saw King wagging his tail from behind her. Even his dog had abandoned him and taken a new owner in just a short while of their visit. Talk about animals and their loyalty. King had ditched him the minute he walked into Christina's arms and to think that it was his dog. Traitor! "Good morning Christina." He touched her hair affectionately. She was a grown up yet it felt like she was his little sister. Her radiated nothing but innocence at such age. "Did you sleep well?" "I should be asking you that question seeing that it's your first there." She rubbed her temples nervously as though she had spoken too much. "The sisters were worried that you might have had a little trouble sleeping since you're not used to a lot of things around here." "True." She was outspoken and he liked that for her unlike Hera who was soft-spoken. He still can't believe that they were sisters. "But i still had a good night nonetheless. Sometimes, changes can be good." Liar. His night wasn't all that good because he hasn't seen the one person he wanted to see yet. Wait, wasn't it bad to lie in a convent? Well, he lied to himself and not to anyone so it doesn't count as a lie, does it? "Have you seen Hera perhaps?" He asked. His eyes still searching the premise. He didn't want to make it obvious but Christina could read through his entire act. He wasn't fooling her and that's for sure.
She nodded in response. "My sister has been awake for a while. I'm guessing that she's helping the sisters set up for the Thanksgiving service. Are you looking for her perhaps?" She eyed him curiously. Bryce didn't know why but he liked her personality. She was somewhat bold and honest. She reminded him of Max.
"Maybe." He answered with a smile. "Shouldn't i be? I haven't seen her all morning." "Do you like her?" Christina asked out of the blue. "Do you like my sister Hera, i mean?" She had been struggling to understand why a man like him would choose Hera over the other girls in the big city. She had never liked that gender but he somehow proved to be different in a lot of ways. "Isn't it that obvious?" "I don't know what it feels like to like someone but when i see the both of you together, think it dawns onwhat it actually means." She said with a smile. Bryce wanted to ask what she meant by that statement but he decided against it. "I was against Hera leaving but then again, it didn't turn out so bad so I'm glad she didn't. You both look good together." She complimented.

Bryce didn't think he'd miss her this much until he saw her walking towards them. She looked breathtaking as always. Has she always been this beautiful or was he only just realizing this now? "Good morning King." She crouched down to his size and greeted him with a flushed look on her face as her hands ran through his fur. He barked and she chuckled at her outburst. "And yes, i missed you too." Her smile widened when she casted her eyes on Bryce. She had thought that she wouldn't have made it through the night but seeing him now, she suddenly felt alive. Christina who noticed the unspoken tension between them, took King away for a walk to give them sspace.
"Good morning Bryce." She greeted warmly. Her heart was pounding deep inside her chest. She was nervous and she doesn't know why Maybe it was because of what Sister Martha had said to her. Maybe it was because somehow she knew that Bryce indeed had ssort of feelings for her too even though it wasn't clear enough at the moment.
Bryce looked at her closely. He looked at her as if he wanted to take her all in before she disappears again. His eyes roaming around her face in a silence that spoke volumes. She was here in front of him again, his Hera. Was it weird that he had the strangest urge to gobble her up right here and now?
"Did you sleep well?" She went further to ask but instead of giving her a reply, he grabbed her hands andm her! pulled her along with him into the bedroom. There, he slammed his lips on hers in a passionate kiss. Hera felt her heart race at the surprise kiss but still, she didn't push him away.
There was something more to the kiss. It was electrifying. It felt like he had a lot of things to say but couldn't so he wanted to show it to her this way. He wanted her to feel all then emotions that he could give. He wanted her to understand just how much he had missed her. He kissed her even harder, pushing her against the edge of the door. The gentle waves swung their bodies into each other. It becmore passionate with each second that passed. Hera felt lightheaded but still she gave into every demand of his. Her lips. attempting to match his in every passion he drew out of her. With a small whimper, she pulled away from him in an attempt to catch her breath and still her raging heartbeat from spiraling out of control. The more he does this, the more she keeps on falling harder for him than she already has.
"Now that's how you say good morning." He said in a tease, joining her foreheads together. "Goodmorning Hera, Gosh Ive missed you so much. I fe I feel like I'm loosing my mind." He confessed desperately. Hera felt her stomach do a tiny flutter but she only smiled. "I was only gone for the night Bryce." She said in her defense. "The whole night." He shrieked. "It felt like an eternity. I honestly can't wait for us to go back hHera. Why do i feel like i won't get to see you for a whole day now." "Because it's thanksgiving Bryce." She reminded him. "That's how it is on every thanksgiving. You're supposed to start getting ready so that we can go to service together." He rolled his eyes. "So you mean that i won't get to see you until the day is over? Like literally? Are you kidding me?" "I'll make out time." She leaned in a pecked his cheeks. "I promise. Now go get ready. I'll meet you outside when you're done okay?" She asked and without waiting for his response, she dashed out of the bedroom whil e he stared at the door as though she was still standing there.
